Patriotic Millionaires Canada Statement on Newly Announced Cabinet
Canada – Patriotic Millionaires Canada, a recently announced organization that brings together wealthy Canadians who are concerned about economic inequality and advocate for policies to effectively tax the ultra-rich, released the following statement in response to the announcement of Prime Minister Carney’s new cabinet, including the announcement that Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne would maintain his position.
“This new cabinet will face many challenges, including how it will fund new initiatives, how it will stabilize the life of working Canadians, and how it will reduce inequality to ensure our economy and democracy don’t follow the same path as our neighbors in the US” said Patriotic Millionaires Canada board member Sabina Vohra-Miller “If Minister Champagne is committed to these goals, he must also be committed to taxing the rich, and we look forward to helping him do just that”
