Time to Win
Hundreds of millionaires from over 20 countries signed a letter to the world leaders at Davos saying:
“As millionaires who stand shoulder to shoulder with all people, we demand it. And as our elected representatives—whether it’s those of you at Davos, local councillors, city mayors, or regional leaders—it’s your duty to deliver it. So tax us. Tax the super rich.
We can win back power from those who capture it; win back our democracies from those who abuse them; reclaim health, education, and safe homes from those who have bottomed out our infrastructure and public services. We can win back our shared wealth.”
We worked with Survation and polled 3,900 millionaires (worth at least $1 million excluding their homes) in G20 countries and found the vast majority believe:
Governments should be doing more to constrain extreme wealth inequality, including raising taxes on the wealthy and instituting a wealth tax.
The ultra-wealthy are buying political influence, and that extreme wealth inequality is harmful to social cohesion, democracy, and factual media.
Extreme wealth prevents ordinary people from living a decent life.
Survey of G20 Millionaires
Patriotic Millionaires Canada organized a letter signed by 45 wealthy Canadians demanding that the Federal Budget announced in Fall 2025 include taxes for the ultra-rich. The letter highlights data from the Parliamentary Budget Officer on extreme wealth inequality in Canada, and highlights several proposals to tax extreme wealth.

G7 in Canada
In 2025, Canada will be hosting the G7, and has an opportunity to be a global leader to maintain the momentum from the 2024 G20 on effectively taxing extreme wealth.
Before G7 leaders gathered in Alberta, Patriotic Millionaires Canada partnered with Oxfam Canada, Oxfam Quebec, and Canadians for Tax Fairness, for a panel event in Ottawa discussing Canada’s leadership opportunity on economic equality.
Panel Event
We followed up our event with our report: "Fighting Wealth Inequality in the G7: Revenue Estimate for Wealth Taxes".
G7 Report
We took our message directly to the G7 leaders, with a billboard truck circling the conference in Alberta highlighting key facts from our report and encouraging them to Tax the Ultra-Rich.

We commissioned a poll of Millionaires in G20 countries showing broad support among the wealthy for various proposals to tax the rich.
Survey of G20 Millionaires
We helped gather over 300 millionaires, economists, and G20 political leaders (including 14 Canadians) signing an open letter to G20 Heads of State supporting international cooperation on taxing extreme wealth.
G20 Extreme Wealth Petition
Every year, we recruit millionaires from around the world to sign an open letter to business and political leaders attending the World Economic Forum conference in Davos highlighting the need for taxing the rich to address the world’s challenges. Check out this year’s letter: We Must Draw the Line >>
